I love to follow local designers and Liz Caan’s work is undeniably gorgeous. She’s based right out of Newton, MA with an impressive portfolio, a long list of press features and a drool-worthy shop to boot. I discovered her in the September 2013 issue of Better Homes and Gardens and have been inspired ever since. Here’s just a small taste of her work which tends to sport black and white stripes, bold patterns, and fun colors.
I love everything about this. The details in the windows and door are breathtaking. I have been eyeing a very similar rug from Crate and Barrel and the umbrellas propped in a row are too cute.
The first thing that caught my attention in this photo was the elegant silhouette of the tub. Combined with the jack & jill sinks and built in closet, this bathroom is pretty ideal for me. The soft color palette soothes and relaxes, especially along with a bubble bath.
Animal figurines and chevron ceramics are fun to accessorize with. Check out her shop for similar items.
Talk about curb appeal. Simple and classic yet completely eye catching all best describe her shop located in Newton, MA.
I’m in total awe at the beauty of this combination of marble countertops, a herringbone marble backsplash, and grey cabinetry. Perfection.
I’ve always been enchanted by the idea of a study with lots of books and dark wood. Among many other things the ideal one features a globe, an apothecary chest, an hourglass, and of course, a magnifying glass. A beautiful vignette here highlighted by curious objects, books, and fresh cut flowers.
