Classic Red

If you’re finding your wardrobe needs a little pick-me-up, try adding some bold red into the mix. The right shade is just as classic as good ol’ black & white and investing in the right pieces will keep your closet kickin’ for years to come.

These shoes inspired this post when they caught my eye last weekend at the ALDO outlet. I mean, talk about a pump. Not only are they the ideal silhouette of heel height and toe point, but they’re also outfitted in the perfect shade of red. All they need now is a hot night out.

In case you didn’t already know, they are opening up a Kate Spade store at the Derby Street Shoppes in Hingham, MA of which I’m very excited about.  She has a way of bringing fresh life to traditional styles e.g. the lively red Cedar Street Medium Harmony tote above.

I love my Merona red belt from Target. Such a steal and so versatile. Last fall I treated myself to a beautiful red trench coat also by Merona for Target and this Coach trench comes pretty darn close to it. A classic beauty.

Stay chic in the rain. If I were to own rain boots, it would be this red pair by Hunter. And I would couple them with this adorable duck handle umbrella from ModCloth (my mom found a look-a-like yellow version at Walmart and it’s absolutely adorable.)

Top off your look and dare to wear classic red nail polish or lip color. Shown: Jungle Red Lipstick by NARS and Carnal Red Nail Lacquer by Tom Ford.
